It’s 2012 here in North America, but for some reason it feels a bit more like pre-1960, where women’s rights are up for debate and racism is totally cool. The main difference now, is that instead of targeting the ‘blacks’ (sorry for that term), the right wingers are focusing their hatred on the ‘a-rabs’, which, if you don’t speak in racism, is anyone who looks ‘brown’. ​Side note: they still hate anyone who’s not white. What’s that all about? Racism sucks. And really, racism just doesn’t make sense anymore now that there’s education and the internet.

Sorry, I got side tracked. There’s so much going on in the world right now, that I’m easily distracted. Let’s talk AGAIN about the abortion debate.

First of all, did you know that the Canadian conservative MP’s are pushing to open the abortion debate…again. WTF, what are we American? I joke, I joke. But seriously. We were just given this right. And thank God, we were. Yes GOD. Thank him. Thank him that women weren’t forced to carry babies that they weren’t ready for. That they weren’t forced to live a life that was pushed on them because of other peoples religious views. This calls for a big hallelujah if ever one was called for.

Secondly, HOW ARE HUMAN RIGHTS A DEBATE? F-off white men in suits who are forcing your religious values on me.

Thirdly, let’s talk about forcing ones own religious beliefs on others. Seriously people, we gotta cut this $hit out. I’m pretty sure, if I remember correctly from going to church every Sunday for 13 years, that only God and Jesus (if you believe in him) have the right to judge you. No one else. So if one thinks that I’m a terrible person and will go to hell because I choose to have premarital sex, take birth-control, and would consider abortion if I had to, then they can go right ahead keep their opinions to themselves because I don’t want to (or need to) hear it. All that matters is what the big guy upstairs thinks and if he’s cool with me being a good decent person who also happens to have premarital sex, then that’s all that matters.  What it comes down to is that we as a people are f-ing up religion. It’s supposed to be a spiritual journey that an individual takes with G-O-D. Not a public shaming session. That’s just whack.

So, there you have it. I’m insanely frustrated with politics, religious fanatics pretending to be politicians, religious fanatics as a whole, idiots, and racists. Ugh. Rant done.
