Dear feminist movement,
I’m very sorry for what I’m about to write.
Ok. The statement that women are the worst is not really true. Most women are wonderful and beautiful, kind and caring, nurturing and loving, pretty much…the best ever.
However, there’s something about dealing with the female sex in a working environment that is absolutely infuriating.
Because I am a woman (it’s true, a doctor can confirm this) and because I am very aware that I’m not perfect (Not. Even. Close – examples: A) Sometimes I’m irrationally emotional. B) Sometimes I’m unnecessarily bitchy C) Other times I’m just off the wall imbalanced), what I’m about to tell you is coming from the absolute pit of my soul.
Some women are in fact – the worst. What’s that all about?
That said, not all women are awful. However, as you grow up and then get a job, you will unfortunately become very familiar with three of the worst types of women:
The Backstabber – Backstabbers are like the typical mean girls from high school. They say one thing nicely to your face, while sending horrible emails to your colleagues and employers.
The People Pleaser – These women can’t say no. They’ve been trained to make everyone around them happy. They end up taking on too much work, working too many hours and they create expectations for other employees to do the same thing. Tip: say no and go home.
The Emotional Roller-coaster – These women express every emotion they have in every instance that they have it. If they’re a little annoyed with something, not only do you know it, but the world knows it. This makes other employees feel as though they have to tippy-toe around them as if they are walking on eggshells.
The sad thing about the above is that all women are capable of being any of the three personality types. It can happen to any of us. So for the love of girl power, why don’t we try to get along, learn to work well with each other and manage our raging emotions. It’s time for us to put our emotions aside, stop gossiping about each other and work towards the common goal: Take’n care of business. T.C.B!
I realize that men have their faults too, ex. lack of multi-tasking abilities, biting off more than they can chew and expecting the team to clean it up, but right now I’m not talking about them. I’m talking about US ladies.
