In 2010, I had free tickets to go to the Everything To Do With Sex Show. Obviously going to a Sex Show, you need to go into it with an open mind. I was prepared to see porn on screen, I was prepared to see giant plastic wieners, I was prepared to see things that vibrated, and I was also prepared to see gadgets that I would have no idea what to do with them.
What I wasn’t prepared for was watching an 18ish year old topless girl demonstrate on an audience member how fast a neck massager (used on the volunteers who-ha) can get them to quiver. Much like Jersey Shore, this was a car accident we couldn’t help but stop and watch.
How we stumbled upon it:
“Hey, what’s going on over here”
“Oh, it looks like they have a show of some sort”
“I think that’s an audience member with her top off”
“Is that girl going to do to her what I think she’s going to do to her?”
Not only were we witnessing a lady (or not-so-lady), get her lady parts tickled, the announcer guy was hands down THE creepiest thing on the planet. He commentated on the entire thing, it pretty much made the car crash turn into a highway pileup. I’m not sure if you’ve ever been to a strip club, if you have, just think of all the things that the DJ says…gives me shivers, and NOT the good kind. Plus, the men at the front of the audience all had their cameras out while the announcer dude was talking about how everyone in the audience was ‘excited’. It was absolutely insane. Not going to lie, I felt a little pervy as we walked away. We didn’t stay for the entire thing (we walked away before the demonstration was complete), however because of the audience applause, we knew when she had ‘finished’.
Here’s my main point of struggle: As we walked out of the Sex Show, there was another, not as attractive girl getting her tingler tickled. That said, these two women were volunteers from the audience. I wonder if they woke up that day and thought to themselves ‘I’m going to get-off in front of 50 people today!’. What’s that all about? Maybe I’m a prude, but I’m not sure everything you do should be in public. Even if you have an open door policy, or you come from a world of the-more-the-merrier, that said, a public audience may not be the best idea. In public, I’m a firm believer that you should try to keep in mind that you’re someone’s daughter/son.
